Parmarth Niketan Offers Special Ganga Aarti on Dalai Lama’s 90th Birthday

Rishikesh, 06 July 2025 – On the auspicious occasion of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday, a special Ganga Aarti was organized at Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh. The ceremony was dedicated to prayers for his long life, good health, and continued divine service to humanity. Devotees, saints, and visitors joined in heartfelt prayers filled with love, gratitude, and reverence.

The Ganga ghats lit up with the glow of lamps, sacred chants, and the spirit of compassion and peace—values that His Holiness has championed throughout his life. A large community feast (bhandara) was also organized in his honor, serving hundreds of saints, devotees, and tourists, reinforcing the message of service and compassion.
Swami Chidanand Saraswati said the Dalai Lama’s life is a celebration of compassion, harmony, and humility, and his teachings are a blessing to humanity. He emphasized the deep spiritual bond between Parmarth Niketan and the Dalai Lama, highlighting their shared work on global peace, interfaith harmony, and environmental protection.
Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati added that being part of the 90th birthday celebrations was a moment of divine grace, and the Dalai Lama’s life remains a guiding light of love and selfless service for the world.
The event served as a moving tribute to a global spiritual icon, whose simplicity, sensitivity, and wisdom continue to inspire generations.
